Spending analytics

Track where your money goes with real-time charts and detailed breakdowns. Eloope's analytics dashboard helps you spot trends, identify top spending categories, and monitor budget usage.

Open analytics

1. Click Analytics in the left sidebar.
2. The dashboard loads with your spending data for the current month by default.

Charts view

The default view displays two visualizations:

• Spending by category: A pie chart that breaks down your expenses across categories like Meals, Travel, Software, and others.
• Spending over time: A bar or line chart that plots your spending across days, weeks, or months so you can see patterns at a glance.

Hover over any segment or bar to see the exact amount and percentage.

Table view

Switch to Table View using the toggle at the top of the page. This view shows a detailed breakdown of your spending in a sortable table.

Each row includes the category, number of transactions, total amount, and percentage of overall spend. Click any column header to sort ascending or descending.

Filter by date range

Use the date filter at the top of the analytics page to adjust the time period. Choose from preset options or set a custom range:

• This month
• Last month
• This quarter
• Last quarter
• Year to date
• Custom dates: Pick a specific start and end date

The charts and table update automatically when you change the date range.

Export charts

Click the Export button on any chart to download it as a PNG image. Exported charts are useful for presentations, reports, or sharing with stakeholders outside of Eloope.

What you see depends on your role

Your analytics view adapts to your role in the organization:

• Employees see their own personal spending data.
• Managers see their own spending plus a team spending section that aggregates data for their direct reports.
• Finance and Admin users see organization-wide spending across all departments and employees.

Note: If you manage multiple teams, use the team selector dropdown to switch between groups.

Dark mode

All charts and visualizations support dark mode. Toggle dark mode from your profile settings or your system preferences. Charts automatically adjust colors and contrast for readability.

Tips for using analytics

• Review weekly to catch unusual spending before it becomes a problem.
• Compare periods by switching between "This month" and "Last month" to identify changes.
• Use Table View to drill into specific categories and find your highest-cost expenses.
• Export and share charts with leadership to support budget conversations.
